Prepare surfaces for reactive decorative finishes with Modern Masters Metal Effects Primer. Its water based acrylic formula creates a barrier that helps keep patina solutions and rust activator from reacting with the underlying material. It also helps reduce unwanted discoloration caused by tannins, salts, and other contaminants beneath the decorative coating.
- Use beneath Metal Effects Copper, Bronze, and Iron oxidizing paints.
- Suitable for properly prepared interior and exterior projects.
- Apply at least two coats and follow the specified waiting time before adding oxidizing paint.
- Some metal substrates require a suitable specialist primer first.
