SOMAY Roof Mastic Sealer & Protector for Sloped Roofs

Restore, waterproof and protect your roof with SOMAY Roof Mastic—Product No. 842. This premium, waterborne 100% acrylic elastomeric coating is formulated for properly prepared, structurally sound sloped roofs with positive drainage.

When applied at the required thickness, two heavy coats cure into a flexible, seamless protective membrane. The finished system helps seal minor cracks and small openings, prevent water intrusion and protect the roof from damaging sunlight, wind and severe weather.

Application and Coverage

The roof must be clean, dry, structurally sound and properly designed for positive drainage. Repair damaged areas and apply the appropriate SOMAY primer and preparation products for the roof surface.

Apply SOMAY Roof Mastic full strength—do not thin. A complete waterproofing system requires a minimum of two full coats, providing a total minimum dry-film thickness of 40 mils.

On a smooth, nonporous surface, one gallon may cover up to 50 square feet per coat. Completing the required two-coat system requires at least four gallons per 100 square feet. Textured or porous surfaces may require additional material.

Allow the first coat to dry thoroughly before applying the second coat. Under ideal conditions, approximately 24 hours may be required. Always follow the complete instructions on the container.

Important Information

SOMAY Roof Mastic is intended for sloped, well-drained roof surfaces. It is not designed for areas where water continually ponds or where the roof lacks adequate drainage. This coating is not a substitute for structural roof repairs.
